The Sweets & Bakes Asia 2018

The Sweets & Bakes Asia 2018, the 12th International Exhibition of Equipment, Ingredients and Supplies for the Bakery and Pastry Industry, was held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore from June 26 to 28, 2018. The event, which is the largest of its kind in Asia, attracted more than 15,000 visitors from over 50 countries, who came to explore the latest innovations and trends in the sweets and bakery sector.

The exhibition featured more than 300 exhibitors from all segments of the sweets and bakery supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and retailers. The exhibitors showcased a wide range of products and services, such as baking machines, ingredients, packaging, refrigeration, display, and decoration. The exhibition also offered a comprehensive educational program, with seminars, workshops, and demonstrations on topics such as baking techniques, marketing strategies, hygiene standards, and product development.

One of the highlights of the event was the Sweets & Bakes Asia Competition, which recognized the best talents in the industry. The competition had four categories: Cake Design, Bread Showpiece, Pastry Showpiece, and Chocolate Showpiece. The participants were judged by a panel of experts from the Singapore Bakery and Confectionery Trade Association (SBCTA), the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), and the Singapore Pastry Alliance (SPA). The winners received trophies, certificates, and cash prizes.

The Sweets & Bakes Asia 2018 was organized by CEMS Asia Pacific, a leading exhibition organizer in the region, and supported by several associations, such as the SBCTA, the WACS, the SPA, and the Singapore Food Manufacturers' Association (SFMA). The event was a non-profit endeavor, with the aim of promoting the growth and development of the sweets and bakery industry in Asia and beyond.
